Support the Benton’s education and outreach on the UConn campus and in the community during UConn Gives:

  • More than 700 K-12 students came to the Museum for a field trip or art workshop in 2023.
  • Over 1750 (and counting!) UConn students have visited the Museum with a class so far during the 2023-24 academic year.
  • Faculty in Art & Art History, German Language & Literature, Human Rights, Latin American Studies, Landscape Architecture, and WGSS selected objects from storage for class sessions at the Museum, which took place in our new Education Center starting in January.
  • Our online Art Encounters series combined close looking with hands-on art experiences and connected students in Storrs, Avery Point, Stamford, Hartford, Waterbury, and beyond with the Benton’s collections and exhibitions.
  • 100-200 UConn students and community members attended First Thursday each month for hands-on art activities, Pet Therapy, and a live DJ set in our galleries.
  • 2,150 visitors stopped by the Benton during UConn’s annual Weekend of Welcome for scavenger hunts in the galleries and our signature t-shirt giveaway.
  • More than 370 guests participated in one of the Museum’s offsite outreach events this past fall and winter.
