May 28 – July 28, 2024

On view at the Benton Museum are rarely-seen landscapes from the museum’s permanent collection. Some of these works have not been displayed in decades. These landscapes are in a variety of mediums: paintings, photographs, prints, and mixed media works from the 17th century to the present will explore the evolution of this genre from idealized classical landscapes to abstraction. Enjoy works by the Dutch painter David Teniers, photography of Ansel Adams and the early 20th century American Maurice Prendergast.
